[Help] AP9617 firmware upgrade

Hi !

I have an old NMC AP9617 and i want to upgrade it to the latest firmware 3.7.3 or also but it has the 1.0.5. I have been reading http://www.apc.com/support/index?page=content&country=ITB〈=EN&locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US&id=FA156... about the way to upgrade the card, it says that i should not upgrade from 1.0.5 to 3.7.3 if i do not upgrade first to 2.x.x...i can not find that firmware from anywhere, can someone help me at this or there is no problem if i upgrade the NMC from 1.0.5 to 3.7.3 ?

Thanks in advance

Felipe

----------------------------------------

Hi again

Ok i get the files from the "apc ftp server" but now i have a problem... i can not see the web interface, i just can log in via telnet or serial i get this :1238_pastedImage_0.png

I login via telnet and i double check if the web (http) is enabled or not, and it is on !...

I made the upgrade through the firmware installer and then by the ftp, because i read a post with that issue "Error: the application was not able to load" And also i upgrade another NMC through my network and happens the same ! that NMC had the 2.5.3 Aos...

Can someone help me at this?

Thank you in advance

Felipe

Hello,

it'd help to know what files you downloaded (like apc_hw02_aos_373_???_372.exe?

if you download the 3.7.2 firmware from the website today, no matter what the aforementioned ??? is, it will provide you with an .exe. When you extract that .exe file, you'll have AOS 3.7.3, app file 3.7.2 (like sumx or sy) and then you'll see an AOS 2.0.2 file. These are all .bin files.

When you use the wizard, it knows to go from v1.0.5, you need to go to AOS 2.0.2 first and then AOS 3.7.3 and then app file (whatever one it is) v3.7.2.

If this does not work properly, which it seems like the v3.7.2 file is not loaded properly, make sure you are transferring files in binary mode so they are not being corrupted.

When you log into these devices via telnet or serial, on the top right of the initial page, which AOS version do they have? v3.7.3? If so, FTP the application file to the card only. and see what you get.

if you're still stuck, connect via ftp to the card and do the ls command and tell me what you see so I know where we are at.
