We have purchased an APC Smart UPS 2200XL with a battery pack (Excide make, maintenance free) consisting of four batteries, each 65AH. The batteries are less than 1 year old. As per the supplier, we should get atleast 2 hours back up for a load of 800 watts (4 systems). However, we are getting only 20 minutes. We have changed the batteries twice during the past 2 months, but the situation has not improved.
The UPS guys say that there is not problem with the UPS, and the battery people say that the charging current is likely to be too less. They further say that 65AH batteries are not compatible with 2200XL.
Could some one provide any steps to rectify the problem?
Thanks.

APC can't provide steps for fixing issues with non-APC battery replacements. Solutions from another customer are welcome.
