GALAXY 5000 CANBUS ERROR

We had a Galaxy 5000 ups installed recently and all is well until i need to perform a service, now when we want the UPS to go into bypass, the error CANBUS ERROR comes up preventing any further activity on the unit, we have critical load that is being protected, the UPS still functions as by switching off the main supply the load is still being protected, however i can not perform any maintenance, is there a way for me to manually engaging this ups into bypass so as to work on the unit without loosing the load downstream, the supplier here tells me i will experience a dip of 100ms if this is forced into bypass. i am sure there must be another method or way to get rid off this error for the static switch to sync with the mains to go into bypass.
