We are considering the purchase of a 30kVA N+1 UPS for our Technical Operations Center that has been (non factory) refurbished by a large APC distributor. Questions: What is the product life of a new product? What are people finding is the product life of a refurbished unit?

Good Day mr Brinks,
For your Q 1, answer is 15 to 20 years.
For your Q 2, I am afraid i dd not understood.
But when buying refurbished you pay less, and in longer term speaking, components have to be changed as per normal wear, where when you pay for a brand new machine, the costs will show up way after the machine paid itself.
On a short term and for a temporary project, why not, but if the site is permanent and important, go buy a new one. It will save you nights and nights of peace an tranquility.
Hope I could help.
