Firmware update on AP9619

Hi

I have Smart ups 3000 RTXL 2u Tower with AP9619

SUMX version: 3.5.8

AOS version : 3.6.1

user & pwd are the factory ones apc\apc

I'm trying to update the firmware on AP 9619

I downloaded the software:

http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=AP9619&tab=software

choosing

Network Management Card v3.7.2 Firmware for Smart-UPS with AP9617/8/9 SFSUMX372

I started the upgrade and the results is :

"

Using AOS file        : AOS = apc_hw02_aos_373.bin
Using Application file: APP = apc_hw02_sumx_372.bin

Checking network connection ...  Checking version information ...
*************** Next **************

Before Upgrading the NMC the AOS is: ĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚĚh$3
* Detected early version, two AOS upgrades required
Attempting to log in to 192.168.0.15 ... Log in sucessful
Loading OS, please wait ... Firmware download failed.
Attempting to log in to 192.168.0.15 ...
Could not log into 192.168.0.15.

Not all Network Management Cards were upgraded successfully:
192.168.0.15: Could not log into the Management Card's FTP server.

Encountered 1 failures during upgrade."

I also was trying to do it manually thru ftp:

ftp o xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

user apc

pwd apc

230 user logged in, proceed

bin

200 TYPE command ok

put apc_hw02_aos_337.bin

200 PORT command ok

150 file status ok; about to open data connection.

and this hangs for 20 minutes

after CTRL+C

I'm getting

425 STOR  can't open data connection.

421 Service not available. closing control connection

What I'm missing or what I'm doing wrong ?

Ok, this is all over the place. Where did you get AOS 3.3.7 from..? Not important now though.

Are the screenshots an accurate representation of where you're at right now? Meaning if you manually FTP back in to the device using your username and password and enter the command ls for a directort listing, you see AOS 3.6.1 and sumx 3.5.8? (and the device prompts you with AOS 3.6.1 FTP server ready?

I am seeing that you're trying to put AOS 2.0.2 on when the card is showing AOS 3.6.1 already and I am not sure why because it is not needed.

Anyway, if I am right and you see AOS 3.6.1 and sumx 3.5.8 on the device, we should just put AOS 3.7.3 on the card, let it reboot and disconnect from it then reconnect to it 1-2 minutes later and put the sumx 3.7.2 file on the card and then disconnect and let it reboot.
