Esxi host going into maintenance mode

Hello there , I have single APC ups with NIC , 3 Esxi host managed by vCenter appliance . I have installed the APC Virtual appliance alongside of the vCenter appliance.

After configuration host and guest Os are all shutdown gracefully but when power come back online some of the host put into maintenance mode therefore vm's are not able to power on with this mode, it happenes with only 2 host.

Can someone explain me how to stop this, APC virtual appliance also not accepting user name and password after reboot from web interface?

Thank you very much indeed in advance

Jaffa

What is recorded in the PowerChute Event log? Does it record that the host are being shut down and is there any messages concerning vCenter Server? If you look in /opt/APC/PowerChute/group1 there is an error log you should review that for errors concerning the hosts. Page 107 of the PowerChute VMware Users Guide list troubleshooting steps for the hosts and Application Note 180 on page 4 lists the shut down and start up process for this configuration.

The maximum number of characters for the user name is 10 and must match the NMC. The password is unique to PowerChute. The password length must be 3 to 32 characters and special characters are allowed.
