Hello,
I am getting the following error message emailed to me like every minute since I added my UPS to Solarwinds and SNMP polling:
Informational - Detected an unauthorized user attempting to access the "SNMP interface from IP Address of Solarwinds Server Here"
I have tried the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Upgraded Network Interface Card to Latest Firmware.
2. Enabled SNMPV3 even though we are using SNMPV1 for polling.
3. Restarted UPS network interface Card.
4. Removed UPS node from Solarwinds and readded it.
The error message stopped for a little after I did this and then started right back.
I am getting this error from 3 UPS and all of them are polled by Solarwinds and are the same following model:
Smart-UPS SRT 2200
Please point me in the right direction about how to stop this error message from happening.
Thanks

Hi Joshua,
Could you have multiple community names configured on your Solarwinds server? The UPS supports up to 4 community names, but if you have Solarwinds configured with multiple community names it might be scanning your subnet with them. Solarwinds has a KB article here with more info: https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Network_Performance_Monitor_(NPM)/Knowledgebase_Articl...
