I have email notification set up and working. The problem is that it works TOO well. It won't stop notifiying me no matter what settings I choose while configuring it. I've unchecked the "Repeat at an interval of x minutes" and it sends me a notification every 30 seconds. If I check that box and leave it at 2 minutes and hit the "up to x times after the initial notification" radio button I get a notification every 2 minutes, but it doesn't stop. I thought maybe I could set this with telnet or something? Or is there some trick to getting this working so I don't fill up my inbox with notifications?
I have a SmartUPS 1000 Tower with an AP9630 Network Managment Card.
Thanks.

every single event is enabled for a recipient to send at a default configuration of every 2 minutes until the condition clears. if that is too frequent, you'll need to specifically disable the ones you do not want. this can be a little confusing.
in order to do that properly, go to the web UI and go to Administration->Notification->By Group or By Event. You'll need to figure out which way (by group or by event) will work better for you. you can also select everything and turn them off then go back in and turn on the specific ones you want. anyway, when you go through to the section where you are un-selecting the repeat, there is an option in there for disable notifications. you'll want to do that for the events or groups.
i would honestly just start by disabling everything while you fiddle with it. you have to specifically disable the notifications with the disable option because un-selecting them in first screen (by group or event) won't do anything.
i hope that helps. let me know if you need more help.
