Powerchute redundant configuration: UPS's not same model?
Hello,
We are trying to configure PowerChute network shutdown, in a redundant configuration. Both UPS's are Smart-UPS RT 5000XL.
However, after the initial communication phase, the configuration wizard says that the UPS's are not of the same model and cannot continue.
Logging in to the two UPS's confirms that they are both Smart-UPS RT 5000XL ones. The only difference between the two is that one of them has a AP9619 management card, while the other has a AP9631 mangement card, which accounts for the fact that their management interfaces are a bit different here and there.
Question:
- Is the difference in management cards causing Powerchute to think that the UPS's are not the same?
- Is there any way the software can be forced to ignore this fact and continue anyway?

you should be able to do this between AP9619 and AP9631 as far as i know.
could you please tell me the version of PowerChute Network Shutdown you are using? can you please confirm the exact model numbers of the UPS units off the back of the UPS on the white sticker? i ask because I am wondering if one is SURTD5000XLT and the other is SURT5000XLT which use a different internal communication language.
once I get that info, I'll see what I can find out. thanks.
