We have a Symmetra 40K which has stopped sending to our distribution group in exchange. It will send to individuals, but not groups. Has anyone encountered this before?

Hi Leo,
This post came to mind: http://forums.apc.com/spaces/7/ups-management-devices-powerchute-software/forums/general/10886/does-...
The network management card in your UPS just forwards the email to the email recipient on the specified email server - whether that be an individual or group, the server handles that part.
The post I linked to had a good point from poster Jon in August 2015 - is it possible on your Exchange server somehow has a different security setting or email authentication setting for groups and not for the email addresses that are for individuals? Not sure if something was recently changed on the Exchange side - either inadvertently or purposely but there is nothing we can change or modify on the network management card that would control or affect this behavior.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the quick reply Angela. You might be on to something here with your link, per Jon's suggestion. I'll make a change and let you know if it works.

I know this is an old post but I ran into the same problem. I created a distribution group in Exchange 2007. When sending test emails, they would go to my email address fine but emails sent to the group would never go through. The NMC reported all tests as successful.
The problem in my case turned out to be that the new group I created had a security setting enabled. In the Distribution Group properties in the Exhange Management Console, under Mail Flow Settings > Message Delivery Restrictions, the checkbox for "Require All Senders are Authenticated" was checked. We are running firmware 319.11.d (version might not be correct) and as of that version, it's not possible to supply login credentials for the email server. I don't believe this setting used to be enabled for distribution groups by default, but possibly a MS patch changed that. Not sure.
We have a special email server that doesn't require login but restricts sending based on sender IP. We use this for the UPS and other devices such as multifunction printers that either can't supply credentials or still don't work when we do.
The downside of disabling authentication is you run the risk of a spammer getting the group address and spamming it, but in my experience with over 500 DGs where I work, it's extremely rare. If it becomes a problem, I'll just block email to that group on our hosted anti-spam service.
So:
1) Make sure your UPS IP is allowed to relay on your mail server.
2) Make sure sending to the group doesn't require authentication.
3) Optionally, "Hide Group from Exchange Address Lists"
