Based on the limited information you have provided it’s likely the RBC needs to be replaced.
The average service life is 2-5 years based on usage, temperature, and environmental conditions.
The cells are designed to sustain 260 cycles before degradation subject to the same caveats as listed up above.
Some related conditions are listed below so validate these are not present.
Temperature: If the system is in a hot environment or in direct sunlight. If the RBC is end of life (EOL) and is cooking off inside this too will result in the error code or fault.
Load: If the RBC is EOL it will not be able to sustain the connected load. As such you will probably see errors or faults indicating the same about can’t sustain connected load etc.
RBC: In very limited circumstances this fault or error code is legitimate. Meaning the Anderson cable is disconnected. In other cases the internal RBC fuse is blown open. Edge cases are one or more wiring harnesses are corroded / loose / open.
Firmware: Another edge case is the UPS Firmware needs to be updated. You can review the release notes to see if this is applicable to your specific UPS ID.
