Does powerchute network shutdown require licencing

Hi,

We are selling a SURT6000 UPS and the client has asked for information about the licencing requirements for powerchute network shutdown. Can you please advise how many machine can run the software that comes with the 9631 network card or whether there are licences required.

Hi Jason,

In order for you to use PCNS, you need to purchase or install a network management card (AP9631/AP9630) on your SmartUPS. PCNS is free to download from our website under the below link:

Software / Firmware

You need to make sure you are using a supported operating system to run PCNS. The compatibility chart is available online also on the above link.

You can have 50 PowerChute clients per Network Management card. If you want more than 50 computers please review the below

You need to install the PowerChute agent on each machine you wish to have a graceful shutdown on.
