Hello,
I just setup a stand alone SMT750i today which is connected to a HP server via a USB Cable. The APC Software was installed and configured successfully. The server runs for about 30 mins and then shuts down gracefully.
One thing i noticed though was that when the server turned back on and I logged in, Windows asked me for a reason as to why the server turned off. Generally these details are specified before you click the shutdown and a description can be added.
But since it prompted me at logon it either,
a) didn't shutdown properly
b) when apc initiates the shutdown it doesn't fill in that information.
I am thinking it is the latter as the server did gracefully shutdown before the outlet groups turned off.
Is this correct?
Cheers
Peter Sheridan

the answer is B per what you mentioned in your post. PCBE cannot fill in that field but has an event log of its own for review that you'd need to rely on.
