Hello there,
I've just replaced a Battery Pack in an SMX3000HV. After plug in the new Batt-Pack, the Display ask:
"New Battery installed: No" (with Answer NO)
I tried to use the buttons to say yes, but non of the Buttons worked. And after some time, the Message disappeared an the Warning Massage "Battery needs replacing" appears again. And the Replace-Battery LED is still on.
How can i tell the APC there is a new Batt-Pack installed if the buttons not work?
Does a shutdown (unplug Battery and remove power cord) will make the buttons work again? Or any other hints? Because this would cause some downtime.
Regards

Hi,
Do you have the UPS configured with a network card or PowerChute Business Edition? With either a network card or PowerChute Business Edition you can lock the LCD display to disallow configuration via the keys. If locked via the network card you will find the setting under Configuration - UPS. If configured via PowerChute Business Edition the setting is found under, UPS Settings
