Hi,
I'd like to know the difference with the RBC5 and RBC9 battery pack.
My Unit (Smart UPS 700 from Dell, model# DL700) requires a RBC5, but my local tech store cares the RBC9. It's considerably easier/quicker to get stuff from my local tech store due to the bureaucracy of my University as far as purchasing goes.
As far as I can tell the RBC9 is for a rack mount UPS with the same specifications as my tower Smart UPS. The dimensions in the ratings are identical too as far as I can tell from APC's website. Only difference I can see is that in the RBC9 there is a fuse between the batteries and the RBC5 there is not.
If anyone can help me shine some light on this I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
- Kyle

One has a fuse, the other has a jumper cable connecting the 2 batteries.
