Dear folks, I am trying to configure PCNS for ESXi shutdown.
I am despairing with an untrusted SSL on the management card (Default certificate).
I choose to accept:
But it doesn't work:
Connection error because PowerChute received an untrusted SSL certificate from https://xxx.xxx.xxx.252:443. Please enable the option "Accept Untrusted SSL Certificates" on the Network Management Card Connection page or add the certificate to the PowerChute keystore,
More information.
Things tried:
- Different UPS/NMC with the same result.
- Different user/pass/auth phrase
- Uncheck/check box
- Keystore magic importing the certificate from the APC manual
- PCNS 4.0 and 4.2
I am at a loss on how to configure this; nothing comes up with searching online!
Please help me out; this can't be the first time this happened

Thanks Bill,
the only applicable here is #1 and #3 (it's the default cert on the NMC) and it's still valid a couple more years.
Hence, shouldn't the checkmark fix the issue?
Where would I find said logfiles on the PCNS?

Hi,
These are the reasons the error would appear
1. Self-signed
2. Certificate Expired
3. Certificate not signed by a trusted authority
4. Certificate not yet valid
5. Certificate revoked
I recommend you contact local support for assistance. They will require logs from both PCNS and the NMC. They will also need information on the NMC model and firmware and if the NMC certificate has been changed from the default.
Local support contact information will be found at this link. https://www.apc.com/us/en/support/contact-us/index.jsp
