We had purchased 3KVA UPS _"Make :APC"&ModelSRC3000UXI& Sr.No.B21138008253 With 8Nos of 65Ah Exide make battery on 23/1/2012 for our "SAP" Server application. From installation it self we are facing lot of problem till the time . SNMP card installation problem solved on 27th April-12 .one No of battery failure on 23/6/12 And the battery replaced on 28/6/2012.Again the calibration problem occurred on 29/8/2012. the APC technician came and rectified the problem.Again 3Nos of battery problem on 4/9/2012 APC person visited and made the report & Raise the complaint to Exide then the Exide person came and checked the UPS then found the charging current was low (4.5A instead of 6.5A) Due to UPS problem the battery was failure, so they are not ready to replace the battery in warranty,we had spoken to APC person .He told there is no provision to increase the charging current. If we required need to provide the aditional charger it's cost around Rs.9000/- (the Equipment under waranty & Mistake of You& APC Manufacture) then we had informed to Supplier on 11/9/2012 till date the problem was not solved & There was no improvement in Supplier side Even after 13Days. we are not able to use the UPS for our requirement. So We are not satisfied wit APC & Dealers

Hi nataraja
Can you please tell how the battery will fail for low value of current. Betteries will fail for overcharge i.e if you give high current over more time it leads to battery failure.
But if you give lower current it will not leads to battery failure.
in your case required current is 6.5 Amps but unit providing 4.5 A this is not the issue to fail the batteries. if you give 4.5 Amps it takes more time to charge the battery fully.
Please see for other reasns why batteries are failing
