Complex Shutdown-Configuration with 2 Hyper-V Clusters
Hello, Community,
I need support with a more complex PCNS configuration for our customer.
In use are:
2x APC Smart-UPS 3000 with battery pack and NMC
2x Hyper-V cluster
2x Synology Storage
1x Backup Server
For details on the structure, see drawing:
The customer wants the following shutdown concept:
At a remaining runtime of 15 minutes, the 1st cluster should shut down the VMs.
At a remaining runtime of 10 minutes, the hosts of the 1st cluster should shut down. The VMs of the 2nd cluster should also shut down.
At a remaining runtime of 5 minutes, the hosts of the 2nd cluster should shut down. The backup server should also shut down. At least the Outlet Groups should power off.
After the power returns to the UPS and the UPS has reached a runtime of 10 minutes, the outlet group of the 2nd Cluster should power on to start the Hosts. If the UPS has reached a runtime of 15 minutes, the outlet group of the 1st cluster should power on.
Is this possible? And if yes, how to configure the PCNS of each host?
I thought to work with PowerShell-Scripts to shutdown the VMs and the Hosts. But i don't know to how bind these scripts at the correct runtime into the PCNS.
Last but not least:
If the shutdown is in progress and power return. How can start up the hosts again if the outlet groups don't power off while power return?
It would be very nice, if anyone can help me with this constellation.
