Compensating for a high input voltage
I have installed a brand new SMT3000RMI2UC and am receiving alerts stating that the UPS is compensating for an over voltage. This is a daily occurrence and was on the old UPS.
From looking at the logs for today, the over voltage started at 08:47AM and ended at 5:42PM.
However looking at the logs within the network management card. Between those times, the UPS voltage was normal. It was only high for a few minutes at 08:47AM.
I have attached the log file from midnight onwards and the only times on there it goes near to the transfer limit (253V) is 19:04 and 8:54 when the alert was triggered. Between those times the voltage was not above the 253V limit. However the over voltage alarm lasted nearly 10 hours.
Does anyone know why this would be happening? This is causing a problem as the UPS hasn't actually fully charged yet, its stuck at 99% because it doesn't charge when the over voltage is detected, and it appears to decrease sometimes when this is happening. The UPS was at one point fully charged and now it has gone below 100%. The UPS has not been on battery since it was at 100% too.
Edit: Actually looking at the logs again the battery was 100% charged at 8:44AM this morning, which is the same time as the UPS detected the high voltage, after that, the UPS charge began to decrease and then go back up. Not sure if this is normal..!
