Changing SNMP trap reporting interval from NMC/SmartUPS 2200XL

Hi. We've just installed NMC cards into all our 2200 RMXL UPS units. Firmware has been upgrade to 3.5.5 across the board. We setup our What'sUp Pro reporting server to capture traps and send emails for on battery, batteryfailed, powerRestored alerts, etc. Recently we had a battery fail a self test and it sent traps every 2 minutes, all night so that all folks on the distribution received about 400 + alerts/emails. Is there away to change this interval? I don't see anything on the NMC. Is there a way to modify the MIB itself? Thanks!

Also - you probably only have to make the configuration change once.

From there you can FTP to the NMC and get the config.ini file. You can upload that config.ini file (or parts of it) to your other cards and they will assume the same settings.

Hi.

Most the traps are persistent by default, as you found out.=)

Under Administration>Notification section, you can select Event Actions, by event, and under Power Events, Input Line Status you can then select On Battery event and set delays, and repeat intervals for any configured SMTP, SNMP, etc..... reciever on the card.

yes, you should be able to configure by severity and change the delays for information, warning, or critical events or events by group such as power events, system events, etc

this is under Administration->Notifications and on left hand side of the 3.x firmware.

IS there a way to do a "bulk" update of all traps to say 15mins, I don't fancy having to go through 100 options to set them all manually. I also don't fancy getting an email every 2 mins that the power is off or the room is 1 degree over temp 😉
