Hello,

Could you confirm/deny you are talking about AP9631 UPS Network Management Card 2? You typed AP9613 too which is also another Dry Contact SmartSlot I/O card.

Assuming you are talking about AP9631 only, PowerChute Network Shutdown contains a lot of installation instructions for various operating system versions and scenarios. I'd suggest downloading the software and taking advantage of the detailed documentation available when you download the software.

Configuring email notifications through the AP9631 is also covered in the documentation for the AP9631 - http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=AP9631&tab=documentation you'll want to see if you have a green and white interface (v6 firmware) or blue and white (older v5) and look at the respective documentation. You need to configure DNS servers and then a mail server, recipient, "from address" (what the emails the AP9631 will say they're from), and upon doing all of that, all events will be enabled and sent about every 2 minutes until the condition clears. The interface will allow you to then customize that if you'd like.

If you need further help, I'd recommend you potentially contact our phone support and they should be able to walk you through step by step what to do if you don't find the documentation helpful.
