I get "Cannot connect to vCenter Server. PowerChute may not be able to issue commands to Virtual Machines or Hosts." everytime I do updates and have to restart the vCenter Server. Usually I have to go in to PCNS 4.2.0 console and click on the Shutdown settings or Virtualization page and I'll see it connect to vCenter. The logs will reflect this with an entry "vCenter Server is accessible. PowerChute will be able to issue commands to Virtual Machines or Hosts."
I restarted after patch Tuesday this month and got the typical "Cannot connect to vCenter Server. PowerChute may not be able to issue commands to Virtual Machines or Hosts." but this time there is no log entry stating "vCenter Server is accessible. PowerChute will be able to issue commands to Virtual Machines or Hosts." however when I go to the Shutdown Settings or Virtualization Settings is seems to connect fine.
Should I be concerned? Is there anything I can check to verify that PowerChute will be able to issue commands if power is lost?
Thanks in advance!

You can test the communications by clicking on the virtualization settings or the host protection setting in the PCNS GUI. PCNS will check the connection with vCenter.
