Hi All. I have a Smart-UPS X 2000 with a AP9631 card at sumx and aos version v6.4.0. I receive the following two messages at each occurrence
Warning - UPS: On battery power in response to distorted input. (This is Code: 0x0109)
Informational - UPS: No longer on battery power. (This is Code: 0x010A)
Despite the obvious problem, my concern is configuring the management card on the frequency I receive the messages. I cannot find either message in the Notification section to modify the frequency I receive an email. Anyone know where these specific messages can be modified? Thanks.

Hi Carlos,
Go by the codes is the short answer. It will be the same event. I think the reason for the different text in the event is that the reasons for "on battery" are dynamic on some level so sometimes the event text can be slightly different. Using the codes will help avoid that confusion.

Hi Carlos,
You can go to Configuration->Notification->Event Actions->By Event in the web UI. I usually click on the main heading of "Power Events" on that screen so you can see all events and then browse for that event you've mentioned.
Please note that the main event is UPS: On battery (0x0109) and its clearing event is the 0x010A no longer on battery event. Here is an FAQ on modifying clearing events which you can use as well->http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156104
Clearing events are just enabled or disabled and happen after the originating condition is cleared. I don't recommend you disable that one because then you won't know when the UPS is off of battery. Either way, it can be done if you understand the caveats.
All events on the NMC are enabled by default to send every 1, 2, 5, or 10 mins until the condition clears. Majority are every 2 minutes, including this one.
Note if you go to Configuration->Notification->Event Actions->by group, you can make larger scale changes to event groups (vs. individual event configurations) to modify settings. You can do by severity or group/category. If you want to disable notifications, you should select which groups you want to disable and specifically go through and set the option to disable them (On the "By group" page, unselecting them there does not disable them. Hopefully that comment makes sense when you're checking here and if you need to disable large groups of events
Hope this clarifies.

Angela,
Hello. Thanks for the reply that got me to looking further. The main event shown on the NMC page is "UPS: On battery power in response to an input power problem." and it has the same code as I mentioned. This whole time I'm searching for the keyword distorted, because the emails I receive say "UPS: On battery power in response to distorted input."
