Hi all,
Quick question. I have a Smart-UPS 1000VA LCD, which uses the RBC6 battery. Is it possible to replace this battery with the 1500VA RBC7, to effectively upgrade my unit to a 1500VA?
Thanks,
Simon

the battery would only give you more runtime, it cannot increase the amount of power your UPS can output (which is what Volt Amps - VA - refers to). keep in mind a UPS is designed with a specific battery in mind so it has a certain power charger, etc so i would not recommend doing this since we cannot predict any adverse effects.

Thanks for the info. More runtime is actually what I was after (the 1000VA provides enough power output for my needs). I guess I'll probably stick with the RBC6, to be on the safe side.
Thanks again!
Simon
