Business Edition & Back-UPS Pro 1500?
Have an APC Back-UPS Pro 1500 (BRG1500)
From what I understand you can't use the Powerchute Business Edition however I've seen threads mentioning there are exceptions and people saying PCBE wouldn't recognize their UPS. PCBE recognizes mine but I can't add it to - it justs errors out with a fairly generic can't add message and there's nothing in the logs indicating the reason.
Now if the software is rejecting it because it's not the right model, then I'm a bit pissed as why can't it say that in the error message (lots of wasted time.)
But, if by recognizing it, it means it should work with PCBE - then how do I troubleshoot.
Bottom line is I need to run a shutdown.bat file when it goes to shutdown the computer and from what I understand only PCBE has this feature?

Hi,
PowerChute Business Edition is designed to work with Smart-UPS not Back-UPS. The Back-UPS ship with PowerChute Personal Edition.
We do not support running batch files with PowerChute Personal Edition however a few forum members have posted how to do so. See http://forums.apc.com/spaces/14/general-questions-suggestions/forums/general/81615/not-applying-ther...
My suggestion is to utilize APCUPSD instead of PowerChute Personal Edition. this will allow you run the batch file and delay the running as requested in your post http://forums.apc.com/spaces/7/ups-management-devices-powerchute-software/forums/general/81625/runni...
