Brand New APC Smart-UPS SRT10K Management Card will not take IP address
Hi,
We have recently taken delivery of a pair of new SRT10K UPS's. One of the devices will not allow IP management since first trying to change it's IP. When initially powered up it gained a standard DHCP address that we were able to use to get into the web management and begin configuring.
We assigned it a new static IP and told the management card to reboot. Since then it is refusing to set an IP. On the screen on the front of the UPS it always lists 0.0.0.0 as its ip address, mask and gateway.
Setting a manual IP on the screen says it is rebooting the management card but after waiting a couple of minutes the ip is still 0.0.0.0. Setting it back to dhcp on the screen causes the same behaviour.

Can you share the settings you're trying to set?
In case something you didn't notice got set improperly too, you could find the pinhole reset button on the back of the SRT's network management interface and hold it down with a paperclip or similar for 20+ seconds to re-configure/wipe ALL of the settings on the management interface and gives you a fresh start. (This is called a format.) During this process, if don't correctly, the status LED on the ethernet jack would "pulse" green and change to amber/orange when the operation is complete.
If you didn't want to wipe the settings you already put on there, I'd want you to log in via serial connection and see what it is in the logs and what the tcpip command shows.
