Battery Leak (Smart-UPS 3000 RM XL)
Hello, we had a battery leak recently in our Smart-UPS 3000 RM XL. I have included images of the bulging batteries and leak stains inside the frame. I'd like to know the best way to clean up the stains inside the frame before I insert a new set of batteries.

Baking soda will neutralize the battery acid. Once neutralized use clean water and wipe the entire area clean and let dry.
If the battery cartridge was like this for a long time. You’ll need to open up the top cover of the UPS.
Inspect the entire board for any signs of corrosion! ☝️ Once the new battery cartridge has been installed validate what the charging and float voltage is with a meter at the battery terminals.
Compare that to the LCD / NMC which should be the same. Call out what both indicate along with the uploading the data & event logs for the system. 👍
