Battery LED's Blinking

Good Morning,

I put two new batteries in my Smart UPS 1500 and all is fine till i turn on my computer all of the battery charge LEDs blink non stop. Also if power goes out the UPS instantly shuts down no backup time whatsoever. This occurs even after being plugged in for weeks with a full charge on the batteries.

Thank you for the response would this cause the UPS to turn off immediately on power outage with 0 seconds of backup time reguarless of load i could have a cell phone plugged into it and it will imediately shut off?

Hello,

Usually this indicates that the runtime is low, but depending on the calibration of the UPS, it may or may not shut off immediately. Most of the time you would get about 30 seconds to a minute of runtime with a load attached before it powers down.
