Hi,
We have a Smart-UPS RT 10000XL.
We had the batteries replaced a few days ago.
It seemed the batteries started charging right away but these messages remained:
"Discharged battery" & "The battery power is too low to support the load, if power fails, the UPS will be shut down immediately".
A while after the replacement the "battery capacity" showed 100% but when I run a runtime calibration it immediately drops to 6-7 %, after some hours it's back at 100% but still messages stay...
Please advice on what could be causing this.
Thanks

I'll send you some instructions offline to try if the calibration is not working properly.

Hi,
Would you mind sending me the instructions as well? I'm running into the exact same issue.
Thanks

I will but I need to know what model of UPS it is and confirm that the batteries have just been replaced because this procedure cannot be done on a UPS with old batteries.
Typically, the calibration should be tried first...

Hi,
It is a model SURT8KRMXL6U-TF5 and yes, the batteries have just been replaced. I attempted another runtime calibration and the batteries went from 100% charged to 2%, and the Discharged Battery error is up again.
Thanks

Hi,
I can confirm that the procedure that was provided worked.
But you indeed need to contact APC for the correct instructions as they are dependent on the UPS type.

Hi Angela,
Can you share the solution for the "Discharged Battery" event in a Smart-UPS RT 10000 XL ?
The event began after change the batteries.
