I have been upgrading my older APC's to newer SUMX 1500's with the AP9631 mgmt cards installed. Since putting the new UPS's in I get a lot of warm starts on these cards. I have turned the Sensitivity level to reduced. I have up dated the firmware to 5.1.3. I have left some of the unit on old version of the firmware. I have opened a case with APC and have got no where with them. Have anyone else had an issue with these new cards? Any ideas of how to solve the issue.

hi
i looked this up and was dealing with the rep that was dealing with you. i see that we didnt get a response from you on this.
believe me - i know it is frustrating to deal with but we just want the most up to date information so that we can find a resolution to the problem.
warmstarts only mean that the card is rebooting briefly due to a configuration change, or other expected situations. in some situations though, it can happen but we don't know why.
i am actively working on these cases personally with our engineering team. it would be extremely helpful to access the card via FTP or SCP and see if there is a debug.txt in the /dbg directory to help us.
we also would need to confirm or deny if you only see this issue on AP9631 (versus AP9630) and if you have any accessories plugged into the RJ-45 UIO jacks on the back of the card. it appears you are only having it on (2) AP9631 cards in SMX1500RM2UNC units as far as I can tell.
has anything new developed in your case? we always appreciate up to date config.ini, event.txt and data.txt if you can provide them. you can attach them to the case if you want if you dont want to post them there but i cant stress that the more info we can get, the faster we get a resolution - as frustrating as it is. i hope you can understand..

i sent an email yesterday at 4:57pm ET to the email in your profile. I did notice it was different than the one we have on file for APC tech support. I will try that one instead.

Just installed a SMX1500RM2UNC with a AP9631 network card.

Management Card:
Hardware Factory
Model Number: AP9631
Serial Number: xxx
Hardware Revision: 05
Manufacture Date: 04/29/2009
MAC Address: 00 C0 B7 4B B8 08
Management Uptime: 0 Days 7 Hours 52 Minutes
Application Module
Name: sumx
Version: v5.0.3
Date: Aug 6 2009
Time: 21:53:59
APC OS (AOS)
Name: aos
Version: v5.0.3
Date: Aug 4 2009
Time: 13:12:44
APC Boot Monitor
Name: bootmon
Version: v1.0.0
Date: Oct 8 2008

I FTP'd into it and there's nothing in the "dbg" folder.
The event log and data are attached.
Is there a solution to this?
Thanks
Brent
