Actual data readings of a switchover to battery event
Hello,
We have an 80kW Symmetra SmartUPS in our data center, and we get a switchover to battery and back about twice a month, and we're look for a little more detail about these events. We have tried increasing our data logging frequency, but we still miss these events, and I would be surprised if the UPS did not capture this data just before/after the event. So far, we've only been about to see "Reason For Last Transfer To Battery:" which usually says "Detection of low utility voltage". The event log just indicates the time the UPS switched to battery and back to utility power. We're interested in seeing the voltage levels in across the three phases at the time the UPS switches to battery and when it switches back. Any way to do this?

Hi Frank
Reference to your inquiry, please see the below FAQ article on how to extract the 'data.txt' log file. Depending on what Network Management Card (NMC) you are using, the FAQ article presents the various methods on how to extract the data.txt log file. You need to consult the data.txt log file then you will be able to see the input phase voltages and compare the entries in relation to the event log file. This will provide you with the input phase levels when the UPS switches back n forth from the battery backup.
