Access Smart ups XL 3000 via IP

Hello,

We have a Smart UPS XL 3000, and we want to monitor its condition via web with Powerchute agent. My question is, can we connect the UPS to the network through the USB port to access the UPS via IP, or do we require to install a network managment card?

Hi,

If you connect a computer to the UPS using the USB cable assuming the operating system is support you can then install PowerChute Business Edition Agent on the computer and connect to the UPS through PowerChute web interface. See the PowerChute Installation Guide and the PowerChute User's Guide. 

Another option is to install a network management card in the UPS and manage the UPS using the network card web interface.
