Hello, our "APC Smart-UPS RT 5000VA 230V" gone broken. After consultationing the APC Hotline we bought the "APC Smart-UPS SRT 5000VA, RM, 230 V" because of the compatibility to the "APC Smart-UPS RT 192V Battery Pack". Now the Hotline answer back that the battary pack isn't compatile to the new USV... 😞
Any chance to connect the old Battery Pack to the new UPS?

Hi,
No. The batteries are hot swappable.

Andreas,
Unfortunately I don't know of any way to use the old battery packs with the new units. The SRT units now have intelligent battery modules that make it impossible for them to work correctly even if there was a way to get them hooked up.

We have another Smart-UPS RT 5000 but without the connection Module for the Battery Pack. Is it very difficult to install such a modue? And will they be sold seperately?

What is the exact model number, I don't believe that you can add that function.

Hi,
I have never seen an SURTD5000XLI with a cover panel over the battery connector like in the picture you provide but it looks like you need to remove a cover (seem image below) and then you can attach the battery pack. The users guide list compatibility for the SURTD5000XLI with the SURT192XLBP. I have also attached the User's Guide.
