APC Smart-UPS 750VA Battery Not Connected
I have just hot swapped a new battery in a APC Smart-UPS 750VA that was giving a Battery Not Connected warning. It is not a managed UPS i.e. no PowerChute software installed anywhere.
After replacing the battery the UPS still gives the Battery Not Connected warning. If I try to perform the self test from the LCD menu it says it's not available. I have not given the UPS any time to charge the new battery (previous replacement batteries I've installed have been charged).
Is this to be expected i.e. when the battery reaches full charge I'll be able to perform the self test?

Hi Stephen,
Even though the self-test does not require a fully charged battery, it does require some battery capacity and ideally no battery related alerts. For start I recommend leaving the unit charge for 3-4 hours then see if the display alert is still active. If it is, you can try clearing it with a braindead.
