Hello,
I just got one of the older Smart-UPS 1500 (SUA1500I, year 2002) but I am not certainly sure how the Power off button really work.
When the UPS is running (line or battery - doesn't matter) and I press the Power off button, UPS switch off, all the outlet are without power and everything seems shut down. But when I press the off button again the UPS beeps and some another relay click and sometimes flash some LEDs but I didn't noticed any difference between this first and second power off. Only If I try to press Off button again there is no reaction (no beep, click etc.).
Is it something like standby mode? I did not found anything about this in user manual.
About the battery cold-start it is normal that I have to release the On button during the long beep and not only press once?
Thank you.

Hi,
When you press the off button a second time you are Brain Deading the UPS. The Brain Dead procedure performs a hard reset of the Smart-Ups microprocessor. It does not however reset saved preferences. See Schneider Electric FAQ FA156611

Thank you!
I did not expect that both my question will be covered in one FAQ. It would be useful if this was in the user guide but I understand that this is outdate unit.
