The Operation Manual manual says:
Standard menus items are: Status, Configuration, Test & Diags.
Items in Configuration submenu:
• Language
• Local power quality: Good, Fair, Poor
• Choose Standard or Advanced menus
• LCD Display mode: Always On or Power-Saving
• Audible alarms
• Reset to Factory Defaults
But - I can't access LCD Display mode - it is missing.
The item is missing as well as I switch to Advanced Menus display mode.
How can I make this hidden item available (I want to switch the display into Power-Saving mode)?

If you think UPS Network Management Card 2 (AP9630 or AP9631), I do not have.
I have only a serial interface cable supplied with accessories - 9 pin/RJ45.
My PC has native COM port, and PCI expansion card with a serial port as well.
About the risk of incorrect firmware upgrade - I know what does it mean, of course.

Hi Roman,
What we can try doing here is updating your UPS to the current firmware release and then check if that feature would show up. The last time that I have talked to your product specialist I was told that few models has it and it could be part of the latest firmware.
With regards to updating the firmware, it can be done with the help of our Technical Support Team. Please do give them a call.

Thanks for the reply, Jonathan - I just wrote for technical support.
Could I make a firmware update myself - I am IT specialist?
Do I need any special equipment?

With regards to the equipment, it depends on what firmware would be loaded. There are firmwares that can be loaded using the network management card and the others would be by using the serial cable that came with the SMT/SMX. Using the second option, you need to have a PC with an available serial port. Then only the tech has a copy of the firmware and it is really a rule that in doing the upgrade the customer should be on the phone while doing the upgrade and this is to ensure that every step is done correctly. Incorrect flashing of the firmware could lead to UPS failure, it can brick the UPS.
