APC Smart UBS 300 battery light flashing

Hello,

We have a customer with an old ABC 300 that its battery lights started flashing. As it was 5 years old and the load is only on two bars, we thought the battery got weak and need replacement. Unfortunately even after the new battery they are still flashing. I pressed and hold the Self Test but its didnt change anything.

I noticed later that the new batteries are 12V 4.0Ah while the old ones were 12V 5.0Ah. So not sure if that would make a problem. I am not good with UBS at all and even after reading the user manual dont know what am suppose to do to fix this.

If you can advice me on how to work to fix this i would appreciate it. Thanks

I am curious if you could further detail which battery lights you saw flashing if not the battery bar graph (5 LEDs) all the way to the right of the display.

hello,
Yes its the 5 LED all the way in the right...
there is no serial cable connected with the UBS but there is a network cable and its blinking. what software controls the UBS by network if that coulld help solving this issue.

It sounds like you have a UPS Network Management Card in the UPS. Do you see a model number like AP9617, AP9618, and AP9619 or AP9630 or AP9631 near the network jack?
