Hi,

I am running an APC SMART 3000 RT - SURTD3000XLI - rack mounted with an extended battery pack . There is a AP9630 NMC in the UPS, where can I find the latest firmware for the device?

Hi,

SURTD Smart-UPS do not have upgradeable firmware. Smart-UPS that have upgradeable firmware are models SMT, SMX, SRT. 

You will find the latest firmware for the AP9630 at this link by selecting Upgrade Firmware: Network Management Card from the Filter by Software / Firmware drop down.  http://www.apc.com/tools/download/index.cfm

Hi Bill, thank you for your reply,however after upgrading the NMC , it indicates that it has lost comms to the UPS. How do i establish comms with the UPS, also it indicates Symmetra Application in the top of the NMC web interface instead of Smart-UPS/Matrix Application , as per the other UPS we have on-site.

Hi Riyaaz,

You are getting lost comms with the UPS because you have the symmetra application version of the firmware. To re establish the communication download the smart-ups/matricx application and upgrade the firmware. 

Go to the firmware page on this link and download part number SFSUMX621 Probably easiest to just control f the part number to make sure you grab the correct download.
