APC PDU web interface AP8841

Hello All,

I have several AP8841 PDUs, and when I connect them to the local network, they automatically obtain an IP address via DHCP. However, when I try to access the web interface by entering the server's IP address in my browser, nothing loads (it just refuses to connect). Is there anything I can do to start the web interface? What console commands can I use to activate the web interface if it is inactive? How can I tell if the PDU has a manageable network card?

Review the full user manual linked here:

If HTTP / HTTPS has been disabled your options are to use the CLI to enable them. By default DHCP and HTTPS is enabled as such insure you login to the website using HTTPS.

You can always just wipe and go (Format) and start from scratch instead. Remove the Ethernet cable from the PDU.

Insert a paper clip into the reset hole. Hold it down for 20+ seconds or until you see the orange LED come on solid than release.

It will take approximately 30-60 to format the NMC. Insert the Ethernet cable back in and check your router / firewall / switch for the DHCP Address.

Use HTTPS to enter the website and use apc for both user name / password. Once logged in adjust whatever you need for your environment.

If you can't access the AP8841 PDU's web interface despite it obtaining an IP address via DHCP, it's likely that the web interface itself is not enabled, or there's a network issue preventing connection. You can enable the web interface using console commands, and confirm the network card is manageable via the same interface.
