I saw some old posts about a command to run to configure the run time correctly. I just replaced some batteries in a my UPS and it's showing basically the run time of the old batteries even after running a calibration on the unit
SMT1500RM2UNC
I tried to email the support email that was mentioned in the post but it returned a msg about not being a monitored email any more. Is it possible to get the command for this or the key that will reset the battery run time when new batteries are changed?

There are several steps that need to be performed in sequence for the best outcome.
Install Date: The new battery installation date must be entered. Doing so resets internal counters and adjusts charging tables.
Self Test: Initiate a manual self test via the LCD Menu / NMC / PCSS / PCBE.
Battery Calibration: This procedure must be done with at least 30% load. Once complete allow the system to recharge the RBC. The display / NMC / PCSS / etc will be more accurate based on the minimum load indicated by the data sheet.
Anything below 100 watts load will not be reflective or accurate which also impacts the displayed efficiency value.
There is no key for the SMT Series UPS. What you’re speaking about applies to some really only legacy hardware that could be fixed by resetting the battery constants.
The three steps outlined will do the same thing.

does va output also need to be 30%? I just ran a configuration and watts are up to 34% but va is saying 28.6% but it ran for about double what the estimated time was showing before I started the test. But maybe its also in part that it seems to be doing some wonky calculations. its reporting 120 vac and 1.7amp which would be about roughly 204watts. Which is more than my actual draw which is closer to the 150-160 the unit displays on its front panel.

You’ll need to connect at least 300 watts to the system before initiating the battery calibration. Connect any resistive load such as a heater, dryer, incandescent light bulbs.
NOTE: The RBC is rated for 260 cycles. As such initiating a battery calibration impacts the service life, health, and cycles!
A battery calibration should only be done upon replacement / once a year to help validate the RBC is still healthy or to determine its current operational runtime.
