Everyone,

This is the first time I've bought a UPS for home use. This looked like the latest model, so I went ahead and ordered two. One of them will be for my PS5, Switch, XBOX Series X and TV, while the other for my Aruba switches and APs.

Some of the reviews I read (of course after the fact) have people saying these are smoking, and even worse, exploding?? I understand that with this type of acidic battery this is a possibility, but have always believed with proper maintenance and care it should be fine. My mind goes two ways - one, that these individuals who have had these experiences maybe did something . Like, no ventilation or tinkered with it, et cetera. The other way it goes is it's actually a really, really bad model.
