APC 1500 XS BX1500G and the new breakers with surge protection
I just had a room updated by an electrician to be a computer room/office. He put in a new circuit in our breaker box and ran 4 new sockets to the room. When he did he put in a new breaker with a surge protector built in? It kept tripping and I had to go to the box, turn it off and back on, when it trips it stays in the middle position. This would, of course, kill the computer, cable modem and router. I went out and got the APC XS BX1500G, I have the computer, monitor, USB Hub and a couple of external HD's plugged into it. When all are running it only shows a load of about 350-400 watts.
I am going to watch and see, but it seems that there isn't much load. I wonder could the computer, where it is set to change the fan speed per temp would have done it? Will having this help the problem?
