AP9631 NMC2 w/ SY656 firmware does not produce useful calibration on Symmetra SYH6K6RM
I performed a runtime calibration on a new install (wholesale replacement of old equipment) of a SYH6K6RM with 2 * SYRMXR4 and a SYTF2.
The NMC2 web page reports:
08/23/2018
01:07:31
UPS: Runtime calibration canceled.
08/23/2018
00:25:12
UPS: Started a runtime calibration.
and the NMC2 Tests/UPS menu just says:
Calibration
Not Available on August 23, 2018
The UPS front panel, however, reports:
Runtime cal started
Runtime cal stopped
(nothing about failing)
4 power modules, 11 battery modules. Chassis is serial 5D1718...... purchased new from Tech Data. Management card is an AP9631, serial 5A1720...... which came pre-installed in the chassis. MIM firmware is 157/226, RIM firmware is 226/226. "About / UPS" reports firmware 213.157.W. All 4 power modules have firmware 311. One XR frame has firmware 403, the other has firmware 404. The batteries don't report firmware, since they don't have any.
This looks like another one of the NMC2 / SY656 firmware glitches (see my post from yesterday titled "AP9631 NMC2 w/ SY656 firmware does not provide useful fault location descriptions").
Any idea how I can convince this chassis to do a runtime calibration to a successful completion? Pull the NMC2 and manually request calibration from the front panel?
