Hi Guys,
I think I am scuppered here but I will give it a bash. I'm pretty stumped.
One of my AP9619 cards have been configured with the following information
IP Address: 10.201.156.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.255
I have no idea why this was set in such as way, it was done using the ipconfiguration wizard.
Even if I put a machine onto the range of this ip I can only ping, I can't browse to the interface and reset anything, I cannot connect through the serial connection and hyperterminal, although if i remove this AP9619 and fit another AP9619 I can connect and configure with no problems.
Is this card toast?

what are the status and link LEDs doing on the NMC (near the network jack)?
I'd like to know what those are doing before we go further.

Thanks for the response.
The green LED is on and the amber is flashing as if there is activity.
Looks pretty normal when compared with another AP9619

hmm ok. if it were me, i would be focusing on trying with the serial cable. i assume you are using 940-0024 or 940-1524 serial cable to connect to the UPS serial port and then using port settings of 2400, 8, N, 1 no flow control?
we should be able to access it via serial if you see a green LED status indicator. i doubt the network would work with a subnet mask like that.

Hi,
Thank you for the responses so far.
I am indeed using a 940-0024 cable and the settings listed.
I don't get anything when it's connected via the serial cable.

well the only other thing i might try to get to it is emulating the password reset procedure maybe?
see if you can get anything while following the steps outlined here for NMC1 (AP9619) -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7879
