AP9537AV Power Filter no longer controls Delay 4 switch

The Delay 4 switch - a high current master-controlled switch - no longer turns off correctly. Turning the switch on/off with delay both at the device and via the web control interface do report to turn the switch off and the LED on the rack show it's on/off, but the device plugged into it is still on (an amp). I've checked the wiring and no one that knows anything about it has done anything (it's in a locked room). It has firmware 861.M1c.D and we haven't updated it manually every.

Any idea how to diagnose the issue? Again, the on/off control appears to work but does not actually work. All outlet settings are correct.

I did notice that the protection LEDs on the amp flicker ever so briefly when the power should be going out, but I would expect the APC to truly turn off the outlet so I can't imagine how the amp would be a potential issue.

Hi Heath,

AP9537AV is actually the model of the Network Management Card inside the AV power filter.

Is what you have perhaps the G50NETB2 or G50NETB-20A2? Just wanted to check for reference. I think they are the same just 15A vs. 20A rating.

It sounds like to me by what you've described the switched outlet relay is stuck perhaps? This would likely require a replacement if it does not unstick.

My unofficial answer - Especially, if it is out of warranty (actually, looks like it has a lifetime warranty) and at your own risk, just from another fairly technical person, you could try gently tapping the area of the switched outlet to see if you can unstick it with some vibration but then it could occur again anyways. Since there appears to be a lifetime warranty on this, I think it should be basis to get a replacement since I think I understood the problem correctly..
