I recently purchased an AP9210 off Ebay. It powers up and provides power just fine, I however can't seem to manage it. Here is what I have done, any help would be appreciated.
Connected the netwrok port to my switch.
At a command prompt I type arp -s 192.168.1.4 00-c0-b7-92-3f-35
It then gives me a blank prompt
I try to then ping the address and it times out.
If I type arp -a, I see the IP address assigned static to that MAC address, but still can't connect
I type telnet 192.168.1.4, and that time out with a "could not open connection to the host, on port 23: connection failed"
tried running the APC IP Configuration Manager v3.0.1 and it just scans for days without finding the unit.
I even changed one of my machines to the 255.0.0.0 subnet, and still can't communicate.
I have run out of ideas. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

ksupersano,
You could also try using a USB to Serial adapter. That is what I use to configure NetBotz via serial, works like a charm everytime. You'll also find its just a handy cable to have around, especially as serial ports continue to become less common!
You can probably find one at your local computer store for around $5 or so.

Hello:
Have you tried connecting to this device serially? This can be done using the serial cable that came with the unit when it was new (part #940-0103; a straight through serial cable may work as well) with port settings 9600/8/n/1/n. Connect to the device with these settings and hit enter a couple of times and you should get a username prompt. The default should be apc for the username and apc for the password. From here you should be able to configure your static IP network settings.
Let me know if this works for you!
Thanks

Hi,
What's status led on the card? Is it solid green or flash green or others? If it is solid green, it has been assigned an IP. You will need to serial access the device to change the IP. If it is not solid green, you can use arp to set the IP address.

Annie-- Did you use the command "ping 192.168.1.4 -l 113" ?
