AP8841 PDU Won't connect to Network
I have two AP8841 PDUs. Neither will recognize being patched into a network port. PDU network interface keeps flashing between amber and green. LCD screen menu in network says 'acquiring DHCP address'. Don't know how it can be searching for a DHCP address if it won't activate the network port.
I have hit the reset button several times and no change.
Also, unable to get it to response to console cable connected either.

What is the history of these two PDU’s?!? If they are in warranty you should contact APC Technical Support for insight and guidance.
If these PDU’s are not in warranty connect to one unit with a laptop and report back the results. Better yet take a cheap router and make a small isolated network and connect the PDU and laptop.
The expectation is the router will offer a DHCP Lease to both devices. You should be able to see the assigned IP Address for both.
If the PDU does not obtain a leased IP from the router. It’s more likely the system has Boot DHCP feature enabled. 🤦♂️
Otherwise a hard factory reset is required than access the unit via CLI / SSH. To verify what the network attributes are enabled / disabled.
In serious installations you typically can’t simply insert any random network appliance into a port. As port security, MAC restriction, 802.1X, Radias, etc are in place.
Report back the results in this isolated network. As doing so will help narrow down some of the possibilities vs others.
