AP8653 - Connectivity Issues
Hi All.
I took delivery of an AP8653 today (2nd user) and plugged it in etc. Using the Discovery tool, I eventually picked it up, configured it with an IP address and all was well. Logged in to the web interface and noticed 4 alerts saying along the lines of the following:
"Switched Rack PDU: Component communications lost with Outlet Board 3 Meter."
So, I removed the 4 screws to remove the display panel and check the wiring - all seemed fine so I simple reset the ribbon cable, fastened everything back up and switched back on. Since that point, I can't get any connectivity to the PDU. The discovery tool doesn't pick it up using either mac search or IP search. Additionally, the PDU's display comes up with "IPv4 address could not start" when navigating to the 'Software' menu tree.
I'm at a total loss here - I've tried resetting the device using the little reset button, switched off and on. I can see there's network activity via the LED's and, checking on the switch, I can see the MAC address is showing up in the ARP cache.
At the moment I'm simply wanting to get access to the PDU (the error/event alarms can wait until then).
Can anyone assist in getting me back in to the PDU? I'm quite desperate!!
Just to note, I don't have a working serial cable... or rather, I've never managed to get one working on any device I have (pdu, switch, kvm switch, etc).

I've just checked the network status LED - it's flashing green which, according to the manual indicates "The Rack PDU does not have valid TCP/IP settings"
Problem is... I can't access it in any way or reset it to change that.
Managed to get a serial cable working - all resolved.
