Hi, i have some issue regarding web interface for my ap7920. I tried every option mentioned in the manual but failed to initiate web interface, telnet and ftp, how ever my TCP/IP settings are correct. when i ping using command prompt, it works fine but when i used Ping Utility through windows hyper terminal, ping time out. (Same procedures were adopted for my AP9617 and every thing works fine including web interface). Please help me in this regard!

You probably want a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 instead of 255.255.255.255.

This will be tough to troubleshoot remotely and will just require some general network troubleshooting to start...
If I had this PDU, the first thing I'd try is verifying you have a network link LED on the PDU next to the ethernet jack.
Do you have this PDU connected to a switch? Tried a different switch port? Different network cable? Try a direct connection between a computer and the PDU rather than connecting it to a network switch?
Can you share the IP settings you have on the device for us to see? And compare it to what is on the AP9617? Verify no typos in subnet mask, etc?
Does the event log via the serial console say anything? i.e. duplicate IP? How about within the Network menu in the serial console? For example, if the MAC address is lost in the PDU, network communication won't work.
Hope that gets you started! There is nothing on the PDU besides a lost MAC address, detection of a duplicate IP, or physical problem with the network jack that I could think of.

On my Ap7920, status LED is green, Link status LED on ethernet port is solid green, and the Link Rx/Tx LED on ethernet port is flashing orange. According to manual, its a normal state.
My rack pdu is powered with apc smart ups 3000.,i tried a different port followed by replacing my ups but the results remains same.
I connect the AP7920 directly with my laptop, but web interface, telnet still not working.
Rechecked my IP setting and also compare with AP9617, there is no issue regarding ip and no typos. With the same setting my pdu was working since last 4 years.
MAC address, date n time also good. If i connect the pdu directly with my laptop, how is it possible to get dupplicate IP.
During trying on telnet using windows command promt, the error message is "could not open connection to the host on port 23:connect failed".
During trying on ftp using windows command promt, the error message is "connect: unknown error number"
I have tried two different laptops for these connections, one by one to verify the laptop malfunction, but results are same.

What IP settings did you use for a crossover connection?
What led to this? Was this working one day and just stopped? Or was there an event of some type and it stopped working?
Did you inspect the network jack on the PDU to make sure no pins were damaged?
Beyond what I mentioned and not seeing it for myself, I don't know what else I can suggest without having the PDU directly in front of me. I have to take your word for it that there are no typos or configuration issues and if there aren't, it'd point to a physical problem with the connection somewhere.
