Hi All

When city power goes down and generator power comeback then UPS shift on Back-up Mode and never accept the incoming supply until the UPS shutdown and restart.
UPS showing below error in logs .

A phase synchronization fault exists.

at client change over Turbine to Generator without break (due to synchronize panel), at time of changeover both Generator and turbine worked simultaneously and UPS shift to backup mode and never accept input power .


After through inspection and numerous visits we suggest the solution that, at time of changeover shift the UPS on Backup mode by manually, for this purpose turn off the Input circuit Breaker. With this solution UPS worked normally and no abnormality found on UPS.

Customer is suffering due to the problem and Want permanent solution .

Kindly tell me what is the solution of this problem .

Phase rotation was ok but the problem only comes when change over Turbine to Generator without breaks due to synchronize panel and UPS shift to backup mode and never accept input power.
If we restart again UPS working ok without any problem .

Hi

Whenever A phase synchronization fault exists in UPS it means that INPUT power have problem like unstable voltage or unstable frequency.
Please enhance the tolerance level of voltage and frequency at UPS and if still face problem check the frequency of generator.

I am facing same issue(A phase synchronization fault exists.) with my unit and connected with generator power too. Fault interval some time in seconds and sometime up to an hour. I have check the generator voltage and frequency are stable when fault appears. System current settings are output voltage 400, Frequency range +- 10Hz, Slew Rate 1.00Hz/s, but subject issue same.
